Compass Series includes unique,
interactive workshops for teen girls that engage contemporary
issues such as violence prevention and healthy living. Open to
registered Girl Scouts and non-Girl Scouts alike, Compass Series
events are designed for young women seeking to develop
themselves as dynamic leaders and agents of change.

Self-Defense Course,
November 15-16,
2008. 1:30 pm to 7:30 pm
Registration extended to November 7!
R.A.D. (Rape Agression
Defense) classes are for young women 14-18 years of
age. The 12-hour program offers realistic self-defense tactics
and techniques suitable for women of all ages and abilities. The R.A.D. System is a comprehensive, women-only course that begins
with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and risk avoidance,
while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defense training.
The classes are reinforced with topics on Internet chatting/blogging,
bullies, peer pressure, etc. Brown bag dinner will be provided
for all participants. Participants must be able to attend both
sessions.

etiquette workshop, a “How You Lead” self-assessment, image
consultation on making your wardrobe work, creating the perfect
resume and more! Hear from women who make difference in Tucson
on our panel and explore local opportunities at the networking
fair. Enjoy a catered breakfast and lunch for an inclusive
leadership journey experience!
Faith in Leadership, March 29, 2009
Honoring the Girl Scout tradition of serving God and our
communities, we’ve created a workshop that recognizes and
celebrates the importance of faith in leadership. Discuss how
religious customs have impacted local culture and deepen your
understanding of other faiths while strengthening your own
spirituality. Learn how to reap the benefits of a spiritual
mentor and become a leader with moral integrity.
